My Thoughts: Stand in Holy Places

Mosiah 2:6
6 And they pitched their tents round about the temple, every man having his atent with the door thereof towards the temple, that thereby they might remain in their tents and hear the words which king Benjamin should speak unto them;

I find it interesting that they pitched their tents with the doors toward the Temple. And why did they do this; that they would be able to hear the words of their King.

We too must pitch our tent door toward the Christ that we may hear His words that we may know how to follow Him, our Savior and King.

This was not the only time this happened.

Genesis 13:12
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and aLot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of aSodom were bwicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

Now we also know that this was brought many of the problems that Lot faced, because wickedness was constantly before his face and the face of his family. It is interesting that the Lord does truly witness by two’s or more. We have the testimony of Judah and the testimony of Israel coming together testifying to put evil things behind us and to pitch out tents toward righteousness which is Christ.

Ezekiel 37:19
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of aJoseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

D&C 27:5
5 Behold, this is wisdom in me; wherefore, marvel not, for the hour cometh that I will adrink of the fruit of the bvine with you on the earth, and with cMoroni, whom I have sent unto you to reveal the Book of Mormon, containing the fulness of my everlasting gospel, to whom I have committed the keys of the drecord of the estick of fEphraim;

3 Nephi 29:12-13

12 For behold, I shall speak unto the aJews and they shall bwrite it; and I shall also speak unto the Nephites and they shall cwrite it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto dall nations of the earth and they shall write it.

13 And it shall come to pass that the aJews shall have the words of the Nephites, and the Nephites shall have the words of the Jews; and the Nephites and the Jews shall have the words of the blost tribes of Israel; and the lost tribes of Israel shall have the words of the Nephites and the Jews.
