Those who love the light assume the identity of the light

"Even so, because the Word of God contains its own internal checks and balances, it promises surprises that even now can turn the tide of scriptural misappropriation toward doctrinal purity. At least for persons invested in the truth, the light still shines reassuringly through the gloom of confusion and un- certainty. As truths and falsehoods—more than ever before— attain maturation at the end of the world, their increasing contrast sets in relief one against the other. And as one truth is but the precursor of a greater truth, so the light continues to brighten even as a deepening darkness descends upon the world. In the end, while souls who loathe the light merge ever more with the darkness, those who love the light assume the identity of the light itself."
